Whether you're in the process of a Replacement or a Refund of your unit, your Scribit should be packed correctly in order to get back safe to the Scribit factory.
IMPORTANT: Upon sending the product back to us, please make sure that you send it in its original box, as any other packaging might damage the robot during its transportation. A Scribit robot sent to our premises, not in its original packaging will not be replaced/refunded.
Some additional fees could be charged to the Refund/Replacement process if the unit is not packed correctly according to the following instructions. See our Returns & Refunds policy here.
1) TAKE YOUR SCRIBIT BOX (if you don't have it anymore please omit this guide, but make sure you pack your Scribit in the proper way in order to guarantee a safe shipping process).
The inner cardboard part must be included
2) LIFT UP THE UPPER PART OF THE INNER HOLDER
Put the markers and the plug on the bottom. It doesn't matter if the plug is damaged or some markers are missing.
3) CLOSE THE UPPER PART OF THE INNER HOLDER
Make sure the bottom parts are fixed inside the holes in order to get a more stable area for Scribit
4) INSERT SCRIBIT AND THE POWER ADAPTER
Before packing, make sure Scribit's wires are rolled back to the original spools. If you lost them, please, make sure the wires are tightly rolled around the pulleys.
Put the power adapter on the left side of the gap with the cable toward the inside.
5) SPIRAL CABLE ON THE RIGHT SIDE
Place it on the opposite side of the power adapter.
6) THE REST OF THE SPIRAL CABLE
Now put the rest of the spiral cable inside the space you have in the red area highlighted in the picture below.
7) CLOSE AND SECURE ALL CONTENT
Lock the internal components as it is shown in the picture below. If you mess up, go back to step 6 and tidy up properly all items again.
8) ADD YOUR WELCOME KIT
Please, kindly put back all items found on the Welcome Kit when you first received Scribit. If you have thrown something away, no worries, just put back what you have.
9) LOCK YOUR SPOOLS
This step is really important - locking your spools will make sure that Scribit fits perfectly in the box and that it can travel safer back to our factory.
10) CLOSE THE BOX AND PLACE IT INSIDE AN ADDITIONAL BOX
Close the box and don't forget THIS IS NOT A SHIPMENT PACKAGING: the white box must be inside an additional traveling box. If you have lost the one you received with Scribit, please find a new cardboard box that fits the white box size.
Any Return or Replacement unit arriving at our factory without a shipment box, (just the Scribit white box), can generate an unexpected additional fee, especially on Refund operations.
